This type of service is very helpful for those who aren't able to be in their office at a specific time and can also be useful for employees who have a hard time getting to their computer or another device. Change Management When a service is out of step with business expectations, Data Backup and Recovery must be able to make changes and implement them quickly and efficiently. This involves determining how the change will affect the service, implementing the changes appropriately, and monitoring if the changes have been implemented correctly. Release Management This is another important IT service that involves making changes to a service that has been approved by the business. These changes can be as simple as replacing a PC or as complex as introducing a new software package. Asset Management IT service also involves the tracking, updating, and mapping of the assets that are required for a service to function. These can be tracked in a separate department or integrated into other IT processes such as configuration management, capacity management, and asset management. Reporting It is reporting is an important part of IT service and should be a regular part of any business's IT strategy. IT reports can give business owners insight into how their IT is working, where there are problems with their system, and how they should proceed with plans.
